Auto Tint Aftercare
Your window film needs about 30 days to fully cure in the AZ sun.
⏱ First 30 Days Timeline
- First 72 hours: Do NOT roll your windows down — the film is bonding to the glass.
- Days 4–7: Small water bubbles, haziness, or moisture between film and glass is 100% normal. Don't pick at it.
- Days 8–30: Film continues to fully clear and cure. Avoid harsh cleaners during this time.
- After 30 days: Fully cured — clean and roll normally.
Don't roll windows down for 72 hours
Rolling them too soon can lift edges or pull the film off the glass.
Don't use ammonia-based cleaners (Windex)
Ammonia degrades window film over time. Use a film-safe glass cleaner or just soapy water.
Don't stick suction-cup mounts directly on tinted glass for first 30 days
Phone mounts, GPS, etc. can pull at the curing film. Wait a month, then go for it.
Use a soft microfiber cloth
Paper towels and rough rags can scratch. Microfiber + soapy water is all you need.
Water spots & haze in the first week are normal
That's the curing process. It clears up. If you still see haze after 30 days, text us.

Residential Tint Aftercare
Home/office film takes longer to cure — up to 30 days in cooler interior environments.
⏱ Curing Timeline
- First 7 days: Don't touch, clean, or move blinds against the film.
- Days 8–30: Hazing & small bubbles are normal — film is releasing moisture.
- After 30 days: Fully cured. Clean normally with film-safe products.
Don't touch the film for 30 days
The adhesive is curing. Fingerprints and pressure spots can mark the surface.
No ammonia cleaners on tinted windows
Ever. Use a 50/50 water + dish soap mix and a soft cloth.
Squeegee or microfiber after 30 days
Standard squeegee + soapy water gives you streak-free results.
Decorative films (Frost, Turf Gard) — same rules
30-day cure, no ammonia, soft cloth only.

Clean quarterly in AZ (every 3 months)
Phoenix Valley dust + monsoons mean panel output can drop 15–25%. Quarterly cleaning pays for itself in 1–2 months of recovered production.
Don't use household cleaners or pressure washers
Harsh chemicals and high pressure damage panels. DI water + soft pole only.
Check your monitoring app after cleaning
You should see a noticeable bump in production within 24 hours.
Watch after dust storms / haboobs
A major dust event can drop output overnight. We'll prioritize you for a same-week clean — just text.
Screen Cleaning Care
Bug + sun screens clog with AZ dust faster than you'd think.
Hose them off monthly during summer
Quick rinse keeps dust from caking. Pop them out, spray, let dry, put back.
Sun/solar screens degrade in AZ heat
